I. Introduction
The blocking of heat exchanging system in crude oil unit will affect the normal operation. And it can also decrease the heat transferring efficiency, and increase the resistance of feed stock in pipe lines. What is more serious is that the blocking is liable to lead to abnormal production, even shutdown of the plant which makes a great economic loss to oil refinery. In order to solve the bottleneck, the best economical and convenient way is to add a small amount of additive to prevent the formation of blocking, which has become very popular in crude oil unit at home and abroad.
II. Performance
DAF-1 Inhibitor is developed according to the formation of
residuum, it is a multifunctional compound, an additive showing a
good dispersing ability to the insoluble suspended matters which is
prevented from agglomeration and deposit. And it can also protect
the metal surface, avoiding the adhesion of polymers to the metal
surface which is also enhanced again corrosion. DAF-1 Inhibitor can
be chelated with metals that exists in the oil and forms a stable
complex that makes the metals inert.
The lab outcome and industrial applications show that by adopting
DAF-1 Inhibitor at the bottom of distillers it can inhibit the
formation of deposit at the normal operating temperature. DAF-1
Inhibitor is also reliable to prolong the life time of heat
exchangers of residuum and pipelines with production cost dropped
and economic efficiency increased. DAF-1 Inhibitor is also of
odorless, strong solubility and convenience for use.

IV. Applications
DAF-1 Inhibitor is mainly used in heat exchanging system of
residuum, and it can be directly fed into the line between the
residuum pump outlet and the heat exchanger.
Clean the deposit in pipelines before using DAF-1 Inhibitor. The
primary injecting dose can be more than normal about 100 PPM in
proportion to residuum. When the pipelines and the heat exchanging
system are under normal operation, the dose injected can be dropped
to 50 PPM.
V. Package and storage

Storage:
DAF-1 Inhibitor can be transported by tank car/tank truck. Handle
with care against tilting and throwing, or up-side-down, to avoid
the leakage.
DAF-1 Inhibitor should not be directly put in the sun and prevent
water or other impurities from getting in. It should be kept away
from sunlight, heating source, moisture and impurities. Under the
above mentioned storage conditions, the storage time: 2 years.
